We offer you three types of dental sedation, one of which will work for you to relieve your stress and help you relax. Your choices include:

Inhaled Sedation – Many of our mildly anxious patients opt for this sedation method. Laughing gas works well at helping you relax and forget about your surgical procedure. To administer the sedative, we’ll place a small mask over your nose and you’ll breathe in the gas. Almost immediately, you’ll begin to experience a gentle feeling of euphoria and lightness. Best of all, there are no lingering aftereffects, as you’ll feel completely normal again once the gas is removed.
Oral Conscious Sedation – If you’re experiencing more intense anxiety, we may recommend oral sedation. All you have to do is take a small pill ahead of time that your dentist will prescribe for you. By the time we’re ready to perform your surgery, you’ll be in a completely relaxed state, and you may even feel a little groggy. You should remain awake, although some patients do become so relaxed that they doze off.
IV Sedation – For extreme anxiety or dental fear, this is our deepest level of sedation. We’ll administer a sedative intravenously that will begin to take effect quickly. Soon, you’ll be in a dream-like state and unaware of your surroundings. You won’t have any sensation or memory afterward of your dental surgery. This sedation method also works well for extended procedures or if you’re having more than one procedure done at the same time.
