While any teeth can cause oral health issues, they are especially likely to occur with third molars, or wisdom teeth. Since they often don’t emerge until the late teen years, your jaw may not be big enough to fully accommodate them. Your teeth could shift out of place and create problems with your bite. Our team keeps a close eye on wisdom teeth during dental exams, especially with teens and young adults. If an extraction is needed, chances are we can perform wisdom teeth removal in Plano.

I have had tons of dental work done at Dossett over the last 5 or so years. My only negative comment would be that every 6 months or so there are quite a few new employees. It would be nice to see the same people every visit, but with the pandemic going on I give them a pass.
A friend recommended Dossett Dental to me, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a dentist. I got an appointment quickly, very little waiting at the office, and they took care of my most urgent dental issues right then. Very pleased.
Quickly, concerned and understanding, they dealt with my dental emergency more than adequately. Their response to my needs were and are greatly appreciated.
The appointment started promptly and I was very pleased with my cleaning, the service and the attitude of each employee I encountered.
Very Courteous and compassionate I was in a great deal of pain because of an infection in my gums and they moved with a great sense of urgency to meet my needs while making the process convenient and friendly!
They have Saturday appointments and they do a great job cleaning your teeth. I was out of there in less than an hour.
The Dr. and all of the staff were not only friendly and helpful, but also knowledgeable in answering all of my questions regarding the reason for my visit. I highly recommend Dossett Dental for those that want to go to an experienced place that is competent in procedures and actually listens to your concerns about anything.
Our experts recommend extracting wisdom teeth if they are emerging at an incorrect angle, if they don’t emerge entirely through the gums, or if there isn’t enough space for them to come in without crowding other teeth. Considering that lots of people’s wisdom teeth appear in their early 20s or late teens, this is the ideal time to remove them, if needed.
Extracting wisdom teeth eliminates crowding, which can cause teeth to move out of their proper places. Wisdom teeth removal usually makes it simpler to brush and floss the teeth in the back of your mouth, too. This makes you less susceptible to tooth infection, cavities, and gum disease.
You can expect to experience tenderness and swelling for several days. You’ll want to relax and avoid any type of strenuous physical activity. We’ll offer you instructions on diet, dental hygiene, and other elements of recovery. Swishing gently with lukewarm salt water will ease discomfort and help clean your mouth out. Complete recovery takes about two weeks.
We can see you as soon as tomorrow!
