Meet Dr. Farkhanda Tirmizi, a Caring, Compassionate Dentist

Dr. Farkhanda Tirmizi has practiced at Dossett Dental since 2021. She earned her first dental degree in 1994 from Khyber College of Dentistry in Pakistan. She then completed a postdoctoral certification in Comprehensive Dentistry for international doctors from New York University College of Dentistry in 2013. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from NYU in 2016 and secured her license to practice in Texas the same year.

Dr. Tirmizi is dedicated to continuing education to improve the patient experience. For example:

  • In 2018, she earned certification in surgical extractions and dental implants by successfully placing implants in 30 patients.
  • In 2019, she was awarded mastery status in dental occlusion and sleep apnea.
  • In 2020, she completed an advanced training course for dental implant placement.
  • In 2021, she was awarded Clinical Mastery in Functional Dentistry in diagnosing and treating occlusal diseases.

Dr. Tirmizi has practiced dentistry in New York, the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, and abroad. This background, along with her continuing education in dentistry, allows her to work with any patient who comes into our office. Her commitment to oral hygiene, excellent patient care, and practicing ethical dentistry has allowed her to excel in her field.

A compassionate dentist, Dr. Tirmizi aims to provide quality care for her patients that allows them to leave the office with brighter smiles and equips them with the tools and knowledge to maintain the best oral health possible. Seeing a smile on a patient’s face brings joy to her like nothing else. Dr. Tirmizi focuses on pain management for her patients, practicing conservative dentistry, and achieving aesthetically pleasing results.

Dr. Tirmizi lives in Plano with her husband and four children. She is a caring, loving wife and mother who enjoys spending time with family, painting, and traveling to new places.
